Based on observations of her three children,
Kimberly Peaks has created
a very practical handbook for parents. The book is written to be
easy-to-read, in an effort to help parents nurture the emotions
of children. Understanding the importance of a child's self
esteem will help with this nurturing process.
Unable to communicate effectively through the
use of words, children will use a wide variety of emotions as a
source of communicating. Recognizing this mechanism in her own children,
as well as in others, Kimberly Peaks has written a book and articles
that emphasizes the concept of helping a child deal with
emotions.
Awarded a 2001 Writer's Digest National Self-Published
Book Awards Honorable
Mention, the book is a favorite
in Hospital gift shops, and is fast becoming a sought-after resource
for governmental agencies geared towards helping young parents.
